The NMSU Career Closet accepts donations of clean, stylish, interview appropriate clothing from students, staff, faculty, and the community. Guidelines for donations can be found below. Items may be dropped off at the Corbett Center Student Union, Room 206 during open hours of operation.

If you need assistance in your donation drop-off, please call us at 575-646-6050 to schedule an appointment.

Career Closet Needs:

• New or gently used clothing in the business casual to business professional range for all genders and in all sizes

  • Suit Jackets, Pants, Skirts, and Dresses (preferably in gray, black, navy, or khaki)

  • Blouses and shirts (in neutral tones)

  • Dress pants

  • Belts, ties, and accessories

  • Socks (new and packaged)

• Clothes should be professionally cleaned prior to donation.

• Clothes should be in good or excellent quality and purchased within the last five years or currently in fashion

We Do No Accept:

•  Clothing hangers, t-shirts, jeans, shorts, shoes or undergarments.

Tax Deductible Donations to the NMSU Career Closet

• When you drop off your donation, we can offer a form for your donation to be tax deductible through the NMSU Foundation.
